All the images on this website are available as original fine art
prints in a variety of sizes. Each photograph is captured on professional transparency film, then scanned and printed
digitally by me. I have never been satisfied with the quality I get from a photo lab. In this way my vision is
carried through from the picture taking to the final print. I don't manipulate anything that the camera originally captured.
I only make basic darkroom type adjustments in Adobe Photoshop to match the rich colours of the original as closely as possible.
They are then printed on an Epson Stylus Pro 7600/9600 using Epson's own pigmented Ultrachrome inks on Premium Luster
Photo paper (my standard method). This combination of ink and paper is archival and said to last up to 70+ years
under glass (Wilhelm report - www.wilhelm-research.com). The resulting prints rival traditional photographs in colour accuracy, tonal range and sharpness.
I can also print on PremierArt's Water Resistant Canvas.
The canvas is treated with an inkjet reciever layer. The images have a textured, painterly feel. It still
retains the sharp, vibrant colours of the Luster paper and I am impressed with the overall resolution. The canvas is
most suitable for very large prints (30" wide or more) although I can print any size you like. You can frame the images
with or without glass. I apply a special UV coated spray onto the canvas so that you can frame the images without glass,
or stretch them onto wooden frames like a painting. Sometimes clients prefer a matte paper and for them I print
on Epson's Enhanced Matte paper.
