This image represents my long standing commitment to photography and film. It was taken at a time when large format photography was still new to me. I was carefully applying the techniques and principles I've learned while paying close attention to how light, colour, time of year and place, can benefit a given scene that most people would walk past. In fact, I've walked past this area several times during prior visits. Today this stand of birch trees no longer exists, most likely knocked over by a strong storm. I'm so happy that I captured this moment, forever able to share it with you. And isn't that what all this is about?
