One of my early successful images taken on 4x5 film. I was looking for a simple composition that I could play with in the late afternoon light. Still learning and intimidated by the mechanics of these cameras I was more than excited when I saw the final image glowing back at me on the light table. I captured this washed up log after the sun had set. A six second long exposure infused the deep blue tones of the sky as wonderful reflections danced on the wet rocks. Each incoming wave jostled the rocks around every few seconds. I remember taking about 4-5 pictures and this was the only one that had the best balance of rock and water movement.
