Here's a quiet gem taken in Killarney Provincial Park. I like macro studies and don't do enough of them. Exploring nature's minutiae at my feet is often neglected because I'm usually looking up! Yet, I know that if I'm carefully observant, I can find a better story of place in this tiny world. I found a harmonious composition among all this pine needle litter. Bathed in soft reflected light, the cold blue lichen provided a nice colour contrast to the needles while the overall image gave off a subtle three dimensional appearance.
