Sometimes the destination is hidden within the journey. My goal this day was to photograph the nearby waterfall. Walking along the trail I was immediately attracted to this forest area because all the trees had the same vibrant yellow hue. It's as if all the leaves were on the same colour-changing clock. I found a picnic table just off the trail and dragged it over so that I could set the camera on top of it for a high vantage point. This gave the dark trees a more stately apperance and opened up the forest floor. A simple, elegant portrait of line and colour, saturated by the rain for a pleasing glimpse of this transient season.
